Overdenture with immediate load: a clinical case report

Introduction / With the advent of Implantology new horizons for the treatment of edentulous patients arose. One example is the overdenture supported by osseointegrated implants, which represents an efective alternative in the treatment of full edentulism. Overdentures are an attractive alternative due to their ease of use and relatively low cost. hey feature advantages over full dentures, especially in regard to masticatory eiciency, patient’s comfort and satisfaction. / Objective / To report a case of overdenture with immediate loading with a view to showing another possibility for oral rehabilitation. / Methods / he main advantages of the technique and all necessary care were taken. / Conclusion / Overdenture with immediate loading has some advantages, such as reduced treatment time, low cost and improvement in patient’s quality of life.
