Objectives / he aim of this study was to investigate the bond strength of iber glass posts to dentin using glass ionomer, conventional or self-adhesive resin cements at diferent root depths. / Methods / A total of 30 bovine incisor roots had their intraradicular conduits prepared by manual-mechanical methods and illed with calcium hydroxide cement. After seven days, the conduits were partially unilled up to 13-mm deep. he roots were separated into six groups (n = 5) according to the cementation agents: dual self-adhesive resin cements (U100, 3M ESPE; Biix, VOCO; and BisCem, Bisco), dual conventional resin cements (AllCem, FGM; and Cement Post, Angelus) and a glass ionomer cement (Meron, VOCO). Conic iber glass posts were used (White Post, FGM). he specimens were radially cut in slices approximately 1-mm thick, and submitted to bond strength tests (push-out). Data were analyzed by two-way analyses of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test (α = 5%). / Results / here were signiicant differences among the cements used. AllCem and U100 showed higher bond strength values, while Cement Post and BisCem showed the lowest values. here were diferences among root depths, and the apical third presented the lowest bond strength values. / Conclusion / he cementation agents presented diferent values of bond strength to dentin. AllCem and U100 presented the highest bond strength to dentin. here were lower bond strength values at the apical portion of the root canal.
