CONTINUING WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF APPROACHING the main topics of current dentistry, based on evidence for the construction of opinions, an analysis was made in articles that discuss the concepts of lens preparation and ceramic laminates. Increasingly, it has been common to disclose the cementation of these laminates associated with not performing dental preparations. Currently, this principle has been applied in a generalized manner for many clinical situations, which may compromise restorative success.
