This case report illustrates the treatment of a skeletal Class III patient in mixed dentition, performed by means of Bone Anchored Maxillo-Mandibular Orthopedics (BAMO), using coil springs and 3-mm miniscrews which are used instead of extraoral appliances. This system comprises springs attached to the upper and lower dentition by means of tensors which transmit the force to the miniscrews that are embedded in the bone where force is finally received and allows craniofacial growth to be modified. By means of a biomechanical analysis, force magnitude and direction of the force system were determined, and results of the therapy were evaluated with 2D and 3D superimpositions. BAMO system eliminates patient’s compliance need when using extraoral appliances. Maxillary protraction and mandibular growth control were achieved and correction of the skeletal and dental Class III malocclusion was obtained, improving patient’s facial profile, which remained stable until adolescence.
