A few types of Class II malocclusion can be treated without extraction and with minimal patient compliance by means of mini-implants – mild Class II, Class II of which desirable treatment is to be limited to the upper arch and Class II retreatment in which four premolars are extracted. All treatment plans aimed at those cases can benefit from distal movement of the entire arch carried out by mini-implant-supported procedures.
