Introduction: The dental sciences, especially orthodontics undergone significant improvements in recent decades, thanks to the use of new technologies. To perform the bonding of brackets to teeth, we must consider the material for bonding, and this should display properties to the fall of these accessories will not occur during treatment. The bonding technique can be direct or indirect, the latter seems to be more advantageous in regard to chair time and accuracy of the positioning of accessories. The aim of this study was to comparatively evaluate the shear bond strength of two adhesive systems used for bonding brackets through the indirect technique. Methods: Forty bovine incisors were divided into two groups, in which metal orthodontic brackets were bonded with Transbond XT orthodontic composite resin (3M Unitek - Monrovia - California - USA), two adhesive systems were being used. In group 1 (control) the indirect bonding was performed with Transbond XT resin and Sondhi adhesive (3M Unitek - Monrovia - California - USA), group 2 received indirect bonding with Concise system (3M Unitek - Monrovia - California - USA). The specimens were subjected to shear tests (Emic). Results: Statistical test results showed superiority of adhesive sticker Concise. Conclusion: The clinical use of the combination Concise and Transbond XT has been validated.
