Gingival recession in adults during and after orthodontic treatment

During orthodontic treatments in adults, gingival recessions may be induced or worsened, with possible aesthetic changes and discomfort to patients. Therefore the orthodontist should consider etiological factors that determine the appearance of these mucogingival effects. Periodontal plastic surgery is a minimally invasive procedure, which increases the root coverage predictability, with aesthetic quality and minimal discomfort to the patients.
