Closure of space corresponding to lower permanent molar loss, with mini-implant support

The aim of this article was to report the diagnosis, planning and orthodontic treatment of an Angle Class I malocclusion, with severe anteroinferior dental crowding, absence of tooth #37 and presence of fixed prosthesis at the site. The therapeutic procedures are described, showing the results obtained after the extraction of the lower central incisor, removal of the fixed prosthesis and mesial movement of the tooth #38 with mini-implant anchorage.
