This article aims to describe the tipping effect that can occur in the maxillary oclusal plane of patients treated with intraoral Class II correctors. The figures illustrate the different force systems that are produced with different designs of those appliances, all tending to tip the occlusal plane. An anterior force applied through a miniscrew implant is suggested to control the tipping effect of the occlusal plane. It is suggested that tipping could be minimized or prevented by the use of a minimplant between incisors with a force applied from it to the main archwires.
