Planas indirect tracks: A viable alternative in early intervention of functional anterior crossbite

Introduction / Functional anterior crossbite is often found in the stages of deciduous and mixed dentures, and is characterized by the functional mandibular deviation caused by interference in mandibular closure. One of the proposed therapies for removing occlusal interference and early correction of crossbite is Planas therapy, based on the concepts of neuro-occlusal rehabilitation. / Objective / The aim of this article was to describe the case of one patient with functional anterior crossbite in early deciduous dentition, treated with an interceptive approach using Planas indirect tracks. The authors also describe the preparation method, advantages and indications of the technique.
