The present clinical case illustrates the correction of a Class III malocclusion associated with facial asymmetry. The use of miniplates for skeletal anchorage associated with sliding jig mechanics facilitated the verticalization of the molars and the obtainment of space for alignment and retraction of the lower incisors. The employed orthodontic mechanic was efficient for correcting the malocclusion and obtaining a functional occlusion.
