In our current time, in which the world has been facing a pandemic for about 8 months (Covid-19), several treatment protocols have been instituted in an empirical or unscientific way, given that there was little time to carry out more in-depth scientific studies on the topic, using well-sized or controlled samples. What we know so far is that there is still no consensus regarding the treatment of this disease, and it seems that we are far from seeing this happen. An example of treatment that has been discussed is the use of Chloroquine/Hydroxychloroquine, which has been advocated (sometimes for, sometimes against) within Medicine. If, on the one hand, for some patients, the responses to the medication have been excellent, for others, good results Orthodontics based on clinical practice or scientifi c evidence? have not been observed. In addition, a portion of the patients in whom this medication was administered had important and significant side effects.
