I am confident to say that Dr. Máyra Seixas is one of those rare talents, difficult to find in any profession. Orthodontics was the place she especially chose to make her virtuosity available, figuring as a skillful clinician, accomplished writer and charismatic professor. This woman from Bahia with refined humor, mixed with firm positions, gathers enough attributes to become a dear person to many and respected by all. She is part of a generation of professionals who value the “root” orthodontics, in which novelties can and should be welcomed, provided they present consistent and advantageous clinical and scientific evidence to justify the possible changes.
