Tooth movement with aligners

INTRODUCTION: It is tempting to move teeth bodily when performing virtual setups for aligners. Unfortunately, this will probably produce an unpredictable setup. OBJECTIVE: To show the application of basic biomechanics concepts in orthodontic treatment with aligners of a moderate complexity case. CONCLUSION: The use of biomechanical concepts enabled the crossbite correction without using any other auxiliary mechanics.
