Smile esthetics in the compensatory treatment of mandibular asymmetry

This paper describes the compensatory orthodontic treatment of a patient with mandibular asymmetry, with emphasis on the smile esthetics. The perception and understanding of some specific dentofacial characteristics are essential to define the possibility of non-surgical therapeutic approach in these cases.
