Class II maloclusion of patients presenting horizontal or well balanced growth pattern is frequently associated to deep overbite. Removable appliances to extraoral anchorage usually have bow attached at premolar regions for a more intimate setting to the maxilary resistance center. In deep overbites we propose the displacement of force application point to the anterior region to obtain more efficiency of vertical force component. This paper presents a case with the use of such modified approach. Class II maloclusion was satisfactory corrected and overbite reduced due to the greatest downward restriction in the maxillary anterior region generated from the application of extraoral force.
