Considerations on the use of rigid internal fixation to the mandibular sagital split osteotomy

This paper presents a literature review of rigid internal fixation techniques applied to the sagittal split osteotomy of the mandible. The authors discussed their advantages and disadvantages for both patientsand surgeons. The principles of the technique are presented, with some details of its application.
