Dr. Roth's philosophy came up with some changes as in the procedures about Straight Wire taught by Andrews. As far as it is concerned, we notice that the tipping at the bicuspids yields some side effects at the allignement and levelling stage. Weíve also noticed a deepening at the anterior overbite and an opening in the bite at the bicuspid, due to a totally incorporated tipping at 13º of the slot. This tipping also takes a lot of anchorage. However, these effects can be prevented with the use of a versatile bracket at the cuspids, which provides an individualization, concerning the professional the decision about which is the best tipping for that individual case. Even with the recently relasing of the bracket with 9º of tipping, we believe that an individualization at the tipping assures a better result.
