Pacients with Mouthbreathing - a Speech-Language Pathologist Approach

Nasal breathing is really very important to direct the craniofacial growth. Actually, most patients present mouthbreathing associated with orthodontics problems. For better results, their treatments should have an interdisciplinary approach, including the myofunctional theraphy. In this paper, we present our vision as speech-language pathologists, since the interview, exam and the oral myofunctional therapy possibilities. To treat in consideration each patient caractherists, our therapy includes many important steps, and not only muscular exercises.
