Preventive-Interceptive Orthodontic Care to School Children from the City Area of Porto Rico - Part I: Prevalence of Malocclusions

As a program supllied by the State University of Maringá - Dental School, 218 children aging 6 to 12 years old from Porto Rico - PR were evaluated about malocclusion prevalence. Normal occlusion were present on 11% of them: Class II division 1 were 41%, Classe II division 2 were 3%; and Classe III were 4%. As a complement of that project, simplified procedures were apllied over Class I problems.
