The aim of this study is relate to orthodontic alloys (niquel-titanium wires) and its adequate clinical application. The tooth movement obtained by these alloys is considered more biological because they presents a “shape memory” and elastic, i.e. during activation and desactivation they allow a great elastic deflection and also they produce light and continuous force along period of time.

Keywords: Orthodontic wire of Nitinol. Metallic characterization. Shape memory. Elastic.
