Evaluation and Speech Therapy on Mouth Breathers

Speech pathologists working with patients with oral motor disorders frequently encounter children and adolescents with chronic mouth breathing. This article suggests an approach to evaluating and treating those patients. An attempt was made to describes several issues that should be considered when assessing patients with chronic mouth breather. This article will also introduce a treatment plan that has been very effective in treating those patients and reverting the habit with many secondary benefits.
