Evaluation of the Correlation between the Dental, Skeletal and Tegumental Characteristics in Class II-1 Subjects, by means of the Cephalometric and Numeric Facial Analysis

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the correlation between the dental, tegumental and skeletal characteristics of Class II-1 adolescents by means of the cephalometric and numeric facial analysis. The sample consisted of 30 white adolescents, males and females, age ranging from 12 to 16 years old. The following measurements presented statistical significant results: mandible and tegumental convexity degree; skeletal convexity and tegumental convexity; skeletal convexity and chin-neck line; protusion of the lower incisors and labiomental angle; mandibular length and chin-neck line angle; tegumentar and skeletal facial median 1/3 high; tegumentar and skeletal facial lower 1/3 high.
