Lingual Orthodontics is a reality in Europe, USA and Japan, and it’s finally starting to grow in Brazil. This technique was inicially developed in the US during the late 70’s, to fulfill the everlasting search for the invisible braces. Today, more than 20 years later, lingual orthodontics has become a integrating part of the orthodontic practice around the world. The purpose of this article is to briefly introduce Lingual Orthodontic Technique’s history and also present a clinical case concluded in our clinic. Showing why the brazillian orthodontist should be familiar with this technique.
