The malocclusions and dentofacial deformities in several times are resulting of distortions on development’s normal process. Nowadays, significant part of population shows some type of morphological and/or functional alterations in estomatognatic system, and the necessity of knowledg of its real statistics is important and valid. This paper was the proposition to achieve a research of skeletal malocclusions prevalence (Class I, II or III) in CEDEFACE patients (Research and Treatment Center of Dentofacial Deformities), considering the sexual dismorfism and the type of surgery performed in each case, like as the analyses of anatomical structures affected. The results permit to conclud that malocclusion prevalence in patients with dentofacial deformities is the opposite of population in general. The class III was the most prevalent malocclusion, affecting 53,59% of analised sample and the class I malocclusion was observed only in 1,65% of avaliable patients, while the Class II prevalence was the same media that registered in international literature (39,22%). The female sex represents the maiority of all malocclusions analised. Noted that in the maiority of skeletal malocclusions patients, there are a combination of mandibulr and maxillary problems (63% of analised sample), which interfere directly in the treatment plan decision.
