Cephalometrics Patterns for Brazilians, Caucasians, with Normal Occlusion

It was realized a cephalometric study from a sample of 20 roentgenograic cephalometric of 20 subjects (13-female gender and 7-male gender), from Porto Ferreira-SP, brazilians sons, italian, portuguese, spanish and germany descendants, average age 17,42 years, all bearing “normal” occlusion with acceptable proiles and that never had been submited to on orthodontic treatment. It was selected 20 subjects (correspondent to 1,497% from of total of 1336 individuais clinically examined) marking out “cephalograms” upon the roentgenograic cephalometric and it was analyzed cephalometric magnitudes used in the Course of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Alfenas University, with the following purposes: 1) to determine the average values of normallity to brazilians caucasians; 2) to check if there are differences between the average values to the magnitudes used, for each sex. After the statistics study of the cephalometrics magnitudes, according to the results and that was done: 1) it was determined the average values of normallity to brazilians caucasians; 2) It was observed gender dimorism between the average values of the following magnitudes: NAP; ANB; SND; ABI; SNOcl; SNGoGn; 1.NB; P-NB; Co-A; Co-Gn and AFAI.
